Vegas Golden Knights are the best story so far in the NHL

Turn back the clocks to the expansion draft less than a year ago and I thought to myself there's one of two ways this team can go. They can acquire a bunch of veterans and be a respectable team or they can get a bunch of young guys and trade pieces and tank. They did the latter, so coming into this season I had the Golden Knights near the bottom of the standings in my predictions. But something has happened through the first month and a week into the season. The Vegas Golden Knights aren't terrible.

If I told you back in October that this team would be down to their 4th string goaltender you would've thought they hadn't won a game in 2 weeks and are getting blown out. The exact opposite is happening. One of the best players they drafted veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury went out with a concussion in early October. Oscar Dansk and Malcolm Subban have filled in nicely going 5-0 combined.

Scoring wise this team has some snipers including James Neal with 8 goals in 15 games and David Perron with 12 points in 15 games. Along with Jonathan Marchessault, Reilly Smith, and William Karlsson the Golden Knights are enjoying it while it lasts.
