Bills vs Patriots: Help me find the missing video

For the past 30 years I've been searching for VHS tapes and DVD's of games that I played in during my 6 years (1979-1984) with the Buffalo Bills.

I can't believe I didn't have the foresight to tape these games. I guess I always thought it would be easy to get copies from NFL Films, but to my amazement, when I contacted them about puchasing copies of the game films, they informed me that they did not keep copies of entire regular season games. All they did was pull out highlights and the rest of the video went into the trash bin. Nonetheless, I've been able to scour the local card shows and internet sites to find the game footage that fans have collected over the years. I've posted them all on my YouTube website. Some fans have huge collections of videos and dvds that they are selling or trading over the internet.

Over the years, I've been lucky to find every game that I had an interceptions in - except fot one that continues to elude me - the 1979 Bills vs Patriots game that was played in New England on November 25, 1979 - my rookie season with the Bills.

We won the game 16–13 and it was the very first game I started at Free Safety - so there is some sentimental value in finding this video. During the game, Grogan tried to throw a long cross-field pass to Stanley Morgan. I stepped in front of it at around the 20 yard line and had 80 yards of clear field in front of me. I got to about the 50 before Stanley caught me from behind. A photographer took a nice picture of the interception right at the moment I caught the ball.

If you know anyone that might have a VHS copy of this game, I would love to obtain a copy and complete my collection of the 11 interceptions I had with the Buffalo Bills.  You can always send me a message at [email protected]

One last thing - The Bills play the Patriots today, and even though they aren't going to the playoffs, I really hope they finish the season stong with a win today.  Enjoy the game.

Go Bills!
