College Football Playoff Rankings Predictions for 11-6-18 Committee Rankings

1. Alabama (9-0) (-)

Going into their rivalry game vs LSU, some believed that Alabama could show some cracks in the foundation. That however did not happen. The Roll Tide rolled through the Tigers, and looked better than ever. Even with their star QB being slightly injured. With the win, Alabama clinched the SEC West and will face Georgia in the SEC Championship. Their next game is against ranked Mississippi State, which is their last game during the regular season versus a ranked opponent.

2. Clemson (9-0) (-)

Clemson did not just beat Louisville, they sent them back home debating on if they should even be considered a college football team. The Tigers beat them 77-16 on Sunday, which is the worst loss that I can think of this season. QB Trevor Lawrence didn't have a huge role in the game, but really didn't need to. The Tigers schedule the last three weeks is somewhat easy, with their only hard game against Boston College. If they win out, they get in.

3. Michigan (8-1) (+2)

Let me explain why I have Michigan over Notre Dame this week. First, Michigan convincingly beat a good Penn State team, while Notre Dame barely beat a good Northwestern team. Also, Michigan in my opinion has passed the eye test, while Notre Dame's inconsistency has me looking for more. I know, the Wolverines lost to the Fighting Irish, but that was the first game of the season. A lot can change between the beginning and the end of a season, and Michigan are a clear example of that.

4. Notre Dame (9-0) (-)

Most of why I have Notre Dame four I just explained with Michigan, so I will talk more about their game versus Northwestern. Going into halftime, both teams looked equal and I could see both teams winning. But during the third quarter, the Fighting Irish separated themselves, and won the game 31-21. Was it a convincing win, no, but a win is a win no matter how it comes. Their last three games come against decent teams, but if they do win out, the only way I don't see them in the top four is if Georgia beats Alabama and wins the SEC.

5. Georgia (8-1) (+1)

Georgia fans should be happy that Alabama beat LSU. Hear me out, with Georgia and Alabama's wins over the weekend they will face-off in the SEC title game in December. If Georgia does beat Alabama in the title game, I don't see how they don't get in. Even if Washington State and Oklahoma win out, I would see the top four in no particular order being Georgia, Clemson, Michigan, and either Notre Dame or Alabama.

6. Oklahoma (8-1) (+1)

Lets be real, the only hope the Sooners have is two of the teams in front of them lose to lower ranked teams that are not each other (an example being Alabama losing to Georgia). Their loss to Texas just keeps looking worse and worse with Texas losing again this week, this time to West Virginia. There seems to be no defense present, which does seem like most Big-12 teams. If they don't make the playoffs, the sooner Kyler Murray can start training for the Oakland A's.

Ranks 7-10

7. LSU (7-2) (-4)

After the embarrassing loss to Alabama and no chance for a conference title game, their chances are pretty much gone.

8. Washington State (8-1) (-)

The doubt around the Cougars still remains, and they better hope Washington sneaks into the rankings before they play in a few weeks.

9. Ohio State (8-1) (+1)

Still unsure of their consistency, especially after almost losing to Nebraska.

10. UCF (8-0) (+2)

I wish I could say that UCF has a chance for a playoff spot, but I just can't.

Dropped out of top ten: Kentucky (9)
