The Washington Capitals have had enough of playing games. They were down 2-1 in the series heading into game 4. Washington scored four goals in the first-period, and it sparked them to a 5 to 4 victory in game 4 over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

T.J. Oshie and Alex Ovechkin scored on the power play in the first 4:34 of the game for the Capitals. Zach Hyman scored a goal for the Maple Leafs less than a minute later.

Tom Wilson scored two goals for Washington later in the first period. James van Riemsdyk scored on the power play for Toronto in the second period.

Late in the second period, the Capitals committed two stupid penalties. Toronto started the third with a 5-on-3 power play, but they failed to score.

Auston Matthews scored with eight minutes remaining.

T.J. Oshie scored a goal less than a minute later. Tyler Bozak scored with 27 seconds remaining for the Maple Leafs, but it was too little too late.

Braden Holtby made 30 saves for the Capitals. He had a scare earlier in the day in practice when Marcus Johansson collided with him. Frederik Andersen made 22 saves for the Maple Leafs.

Game 5 is on Friday Night in Washington.
