Giants Defense Strong in Victory over Cowboys

The New York Giants already defeated the Dallas Cowboys this year in week 1. The Cowboys have won 11 straight games heading into Sunday Night. Would the Giants put another blemish on Dallas's record? With a heavy heart on the defensive side of the ball, it carried the Giants to a 10 to 7 victory.

Dak Prescott threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Williams in the first-quarter. Williams finished with 5 catches for 76 yards receiving and 1 touchdown. Prescott finished with 165 yards passing 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. As for Ezekiel Elliott, he finished with 107 rushing yards.

That would be the only big play the Giants would give up on defense that night. With the Giants trailing 7 to 3 in the third-quarter, Eli Manning threw a slant pass to Odell Beckham Jr., and he sprinted for a 61-yard touchdown. Beckham Jr. finished with 4 catches for 94 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.

Manning had a rough night with 193 yards passing 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

Dallas's defense had 2 sacks, 1 interception, and 2 forced fumbles. The Giants didn't have Jason Pierre-Paul and Romeo Okwara started in place of him. The defense had 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles. One of the forced fumbles came on a third-and-6 play, when Dak Prescott threw a pass to Dez Bryant and Janoris Jenkins ripped the ball out and the Giants recovered.

Dallas would get the ball back one more time, and Dez dropped the pass on a fourth down play. Dez Bryant only had 1 catch for 10 yards.

The New York Giants will host the Detroit Lions (9-4) next Sunday.
