Irving Cold Shoulder's Warriors Once Again

Back in June, Kyrie Irving hit the game winning 3-pointer to lift the Cavs to their first NBA title in franchise history. After a shot clock violation committed by Golden State with 13 seconds remaining, the Cavs had an opportunity to win the game. Kyrie Irving hit a fade away shot on Klay Thompson with 3.6 seconds remaining, to lift Cleveland to a 109 to 108 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

After the fade away shot, the Warriors called a timeout to set up a play. Kevin Durant got the ball on the inbounds pass, and it looked like Richard Jefferson tripped him up softly, or Durant slipped on his own. He actually had a big day with 36 points and 15 rebounds.

The Warriors blew a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter. When the game was tied at 103, Lebron received a feed from Irving for the and one. Lebron James had 31 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers.

When the game was tied at 105 with under a 1:30 remaining, Steph Curry hit the go-ahead 3-pointer. Curry finished with 15 points and 3 assists. Kyrie Irving scored 25 points and had 10 assists. He had a key bucket with around 30 seconds remaining to cut the lead to 1 and then the rest was history.

Draymond Green received a technical foul early in the game, and he could have been ejected for arguing with the referees. Klay Thompson played a very good game with 24 points.

Kevin Love had 20 points and 6 rebounds. Tristan Thompson had 6 offensive rebounds. This was a high energetic game all day long. It is very possible these teams will play each other for the third straight season in the NBA Finals. These teams will play each other one more time in the regular season.
