Mats Zuccarello scored a power-play goal in the second for the Rangers. Anders Lee tied the game at 1 for the Islanders. Later in the period, Rick Nash scored for the Rangers.

In the third period, Nikolay Kulemin tied the game at 2 on the power play and the rest was history. Thomas Greiss was the main reason why the Islanders won last night. He made the saves he needed to down the stretch. Greiss made 34 saves.

Antti Raanta made 25 saves for the Rangers. The New York Islanders are only two points back of the Boston Bruins for the number 8 seed. The New York Rangers are in comfortable position for the first wild-card spot. The Islanders won the season series 3-1.
