The Minnesota Timberwolves have acquired Jimmy Butler and #16 pick from Chicago which happened to be center Justin Patton for Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, and #7 pick from Minnesota, which happened to be power forward Lauri Markkanen.

Butler averaged 23.9 PPG 6.2 RPG and 5.5 APG last season with the Bulls. Dunn averaged 3.8 PPG 2.1 RPG and 2.4 APG last season with the Timberwolves. LaVine averaged 18.9 PPG 3.4 RPG and 3 APG last season with the Timberwolves.

Butler is reunited with coach Tom Thibodeau. The Timberwolves are looking like more of a playoff team after this trade and the Bulls are going in a different direction all together.
