The NBA Draft took place at the Barclays Center last night in Brooklyn. Who were the possible winners and losers?

Well the Philadelphia 76ers took Markelle Fultz with the first pick. It was a good move for them and trust the process is about to pay off for them. The Los Angeles Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the second pick. That was a very good pick for them. He will be a tremendous floor general in the NBA.

The Boston Celtics third pick was a questionable selection. Jayson Tatum will be a good player, but they should have went with Josh Jackson, who was selected fourth by the Phoenix Suns. Josh Jackson and Devin Booker will dominate together for the next decade with the Suns. Jackson has the most potential and talent in this draft.

The Sacramento Kings made a solid selection with the number five pick in De'Aaron Fox. He is a very quick point guard and dictates the tempo of the game very well.

Jonathan Isaac went sixth overall to Orlando. Lauri Markkanen was taken seventh overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves but he was traded to the Chicago Bulls in part of the Jimmy Butler deal. Justin Patton was taken 16th overall by the Bulls, but he is going to Minnesota in that deal.

Of course at number 8, the New York Knicks decided to take an overseas point guard in Frank Ntilikina. He has the potential to be good, but he can also easily be a bust.

Dennis Smith Jr. was taken 9th overall by the Dallas Mavericks. Zach Collins was drafted 10th overall by the Sacramento Kings but he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for Justin Jackson and Harry Giles, whom were taken 15th and 20th overall in the first round.

Malik Monk was a steal for the Charlotte Hornets at number 11. Monk can score lights out and him and Kemba Walker can perform at a high level on a night to night basis.

Detroit took Luke Kennard with the 12th pick. That was a little bit of a surprise. Donovan Mitchell was drafted 13th overall by the Denver Nuggets but he was traded to the Utah Jazz for the 24th pick which happened to be Tyler Lydon.

Bam Adebayo was drafted 14th by the Miami Heat. That was a very interesting pick there. The Lakers also drafted Josh Hart at the end of the first-round. Caleb Swanigan was also drafted in the first-round by the Portland Trail Blazers 26th overall.

Some noticeable second-round picks: Frank Jackson 31st overall by Charlotte (Traded to New Orleans), Frank Mason 34th overall by Sacramento, Ivan Rabb 35th overall by Orlando (Traded to Memphis), Semi Ojeleye 37th overall by Boston, Jordan Bell 38th overall (Traded to Golden State), Jawun Evans 39th overall by Philadelphia, Thomas Bryant 42nd overall by Utah (Traded to Lakers), and Dillon Brooks 45th overall by Houston traded to Memphis.

Some of the winners include the Lakers, Suns, Hornets, Heat, and Trail Blazers. Some of the losers include: Knicks, Celtics, Bulls, and Pistons.
