Lightning Zap Islanders

The forecast at Barclays Center on Tuesday was supposed to be clear skies, but the Tampa Bay Lightning changed it into a lightning storm. They dominated from start to finish in a 6 to 1 victory over the New York Islanders.

Nikita Kucherov scored twice in the first-period, and Steven Stamkos also scored. Thomas Greiss was pulled from net after stopping 8 shots. Jaroslav Halak didn't do any better either. Halak stopped 22 shots, but he gave up 3 goals in the second-period.

They were scored by Brian Boyle, J.T. Brown, and Valtteri Flippula. If it wasn't for the goal post, the Lightning might have scored 10 goals last night. That was how good the Lightning played, and how bad the Islanders looked.

The lone goal for the Islanders was scored by Dennis Seidenberg.

Ben Bishop stopped 26 shots for the Lightning. They will play each other 2 more times this season.
