New York Knicks Joke of a Season

NBA: Miami Heat at New York Knicks

Remember when the New York Knicks signed Brandon Jennings, Joakim Noah, and Derek Rose in the offseason, and claimed that they would be a playoff team this season? Well, with last night's loss to the Miami Heat, they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Do you wanna talk about a circus act with this team this season? Between owner James Dolan throwing out Charles Oakley from Madison Square Garden and no one wanting to play the triangle offense.

Phil Jackson has pressed basically all the wrong buttons for this team and he should be fired at the end of the season, as the team's president.

Their record is 28-47 this season. Want to know something pathetic? It is the same record as the Philadelphia 76ers. They have shown signs of improvement this season. The Knicks have regressed.

If the season ended right now, the Knicks would own the fifth pick in the draft, but the draft lottery is in May. New York also has two second round picks as well.

In the offseason, the Knicks shouldn't resign Derrick Rose. They should trade Carmelo Anthony and build the team around Kristaps Porzinigis. Joakim Noah was also suspended 20 games for PEDs.

Jeff Hornacek isn't the answer at head coach for the Knicks either. They should bring in a college coach than can help develop young players like Brad Stevens is doing in Boston.
