NFL Draft Day 1

The first day of the NFL Draft might have had more chaos, than the entire postseason combined.

It was no shocker that the Cleveland Browns selected Myles Garrett with the number one pick, but once when the Chicago Bears swapped picks with the San Francisco 49ers, the wheels started to fall off.

Despite signing Mike Glennon in the offseason, the Bears drafted Mitchell Trubisky. What the heck are the Bears doing? Trubisky can definitely play that isn't the issue.

Chicago wasted a picked because they needed to address other weak spots.

San Francisco did a solid job in the first round by drafting Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster. That will help their defense out in a hurry.

It was no shock that the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Leonard Fournette. He will help out the running game.

Tennessee took two intriguing players: Corey Davis wide receiver and Adoree' Jackson defensive back. Tennessee just gave Mariota a legit option down the field. The Titans now have a solid play maker on defense.

Christian McCaffrey went number eight overall to Carolina. That was a surprise because I thought Dalvin Cook was going to get drafted before him.

Kansas City traded up to the number 10 spot to draft Patrick Mahomes. He is a gun-slinging quarterback and that is a reach for the Chiefs. Mahomes won't be starting right away, but maybe it will pan out for them.

Once he was taken, it was no surprise the Houston Texans traded up into the number 12 spot. They drafted Deshaun Watson. He is going to be a solid quarterback for them for years to come.

Derek Barnett is a questionable pick at number 14 for the Eagles.

Marshon Lattimore, Malik Hooker, and Gareon Conley were all drafted in the first round. They all were in the Ohio State secondary this past season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave Jameis Winston another toy in the passing game. O.J. Howard is going to one heck of a tight end in the NFL.

Speaking of tight ends, the New York Giants made a good move selecting Evan Engram 23rd overall. He is going to be another lethal weapon for Eli Manning.

Despite Jabril Peppers drug test issues, the Cleveland Browns drafted him in the first round. The Dallas Cowboys didn't need to draft an defensive lineman. They needed help in the secondary.

I don't understand why Green Bay traded out of the first round. They will be lucky that they have the first pick in the second round because of a trade made with the Cleveland Browns, but this was a time for them to draft a corner and they didn't capitalize on it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers took T.J. Watt which came at a surprise. I thought they were pretty strong at linebacker.

It was also a surprise that Jonathan Allen slipped to the Washington Redskins at the 17 pick.

Here are some of the best players available as day 2 begins: Quincy Wilson (CB), Dalvin Cook (RB), Forrest Lamp (OL), Alvin Kamara (RB), Cam Robinson (OL), Sidney Jones (CB)
