Time for the Mets to Make David Wright Manager

A team with such high expectations at the beginning of the season has been more of a disaster than anything. That would describe the New York Mets season in a nutshell. They are 31-39 this season. The Mets are 11 games back in the NL East and 12.5 games back of the second wild card spot.

Mathematically, there is still time left in the season for a miracle but in reality they need to focus on 2018. They are injured too much. It seems like Terry Collins isn't pushing the right buttons for this team anymore and it is time to fire him and make David Wright the teams manager.

This would be a perfect time to do it. Yes Wright still wants to play, but his body keeps breaking down. It would be perfect because number one to see if Wright is capable of running a team since the season is at a lost cause. Also which players will play hard for him and which ones will quit.

Number two, if it doesn't work they can always go in a different direction for 2018 instead of the team having another bad possible season in 2018. Number three, he would probably tell management to call up the young players and let them grow together.

David Wright seems to be an influence on the players so this move should be made sooner rather than later.
