Week 4 NFL Predictions

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

After 3 weeks of play five teams are still undefeated: Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots. The Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. remain win less. Week 3 was quiet was once again. Will Week 4 bring back fireworks? I went 8 and 8 with my predictions last week and I am 29 and 19 on the season.

Miami Dolphins 17, Cincinnati Bengals 20: This game will feature the battle of the dysfunctional franchises. The winner of this game will gain confidence, and the loser will turn into a spin cycle. Miami barely escaped the Browns last week, and they won't escape against the Bengals this week. Cincinnati is much more talented than Miami is.

Indianapolis Colts 31, Jacksonville Jaguars 24: Both teams are in danger of hitting rock bottom with a loss. Yes the Colts did win last week but the Jaguars have yet to win a game this season. If Jacksonville wins this one, Indianapolis will be scratching their heads.

Carolina Panthers 28, Atlanta Falcons 25: The Carolina Panthers need to put their big boy pants on and prove why they won the NFC last season. The Falcons do have a good offense, but the Panthers defense needs to send a message.

Oakland Raiders 14, Baltimore Ravens 17: Derek Carr is going to be under fire all afternoon against the Ravens defense. Baltimore's defense has been solid so far this season. The Ravens offense won't be consistent so the Raiders defense might have a good day. At the end of the day, Justin Tucker will be the hero once again for the Ravens.

Detroit Lions 30, Chicago Bears 16: If fantasy owners have Matthew Stafford, they should be happy because he is going to have another big performance. Detroit is playing hard and it looks like Chicago is just going through the motions with the injuries to Jay Cutler and Jeremy Langford.

Tennessee Titans 17, Houston Texans 24: J.J. Watt is a tremendous loss for the Texans defense. The Titans will take advantage of that in the run game, but not the actual football game itself. Brock Owseiler will have a bounce back performance after the offense was silenced against the Patriots.

Buffalo Bills 14, New England Patriots 35: The Bills shocked the world when they defeated the Cardinals last week. Buffalo will be in for a reality check against New England this weekend. No matter who plays quarterback for the Patriots, they will find a way to win the game.

Seattle Seahawks 24, New York Jets 10: Ryan Fitzpatrick was pathetic against the Chiefs, and he will look pitiful against the Seahawks. The bench might be calling his name if he has another bad performance. Russell Wilson found a groove last week offensively. The Jets defense might be fatigued this week and it will allow Wilson to continue his rhythm.

Cleveland Browns 20, Washington Redskins 42: This is a perfect week for Washington to make a statement. Look I know it is the Cleveland Browns, but if Washington dominates, the rest of the NFC East better buckle up. Kirk Cousins didn't commit any turnovers last week, and I don't expect him to this week. Washington's receiving core is too fast for the Cleveland secondary.

Denver Broncos 40, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 32: Trevor Siemian has been balling the first 3 weeks of the NFL season. The Buccaneers defense gave up 37 points to a mediocre Rams offense last week. Denver's defense will actually be in for a long afternoon against a good Tampa Bay offense. The Broncos offense will come to the rescue.

Los Angeles Rams 10, Arizona Cardinals 31: Something is very wrong if the Rams win this game. It will mean that the NFL obviously wants the Rams to be a playoff contender in its first season back in Los Angeles. To be honest they have won two very lucky games and they are not a very good football team. Arizona needs to start and finish strong. They have their backs against the wall because they are off to a 1 and 2 start.

New Orleans Saints 28, San Diego Chargers 29: Great offenses and pathetic defenses. Who ever has the ball last will score a touchdown and attempt a 2-point conversion to win the game.

Dallas Cowboys 31, San Francisco 49ers 17: The Dallas Cowboys hurdled the Chicago Bears this week. It is very possible they will do the same to the 49ers. The 49ers offense is actually better than the Bears however. Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott will continue to shine for the Cowboys.

Kansas City Chiefs 13, Pittsburgh Steelers 24: Don't expect the Steelers offense to struggle reaching the end-zone again. They get Le'Veon Bell back, and it will be a huge plus on offense. They should bench Markus Wheaton and have Sammie Coates as the number 2 wide receiver. Kansas City's defense will not be as effective this week like last week.

New York Giants 13, Minnesota Vikings 16: Minnesota has one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Giants don't have Shane Vereen for the rest of the season, and they may not have Rashad Jennings in the backfield on Monday Night. That leaves it up to Orleans Darkwa, Paul Perkins, and Bobby Rainey in the backfield. They are inexperienced. The Vikings will win this game because they will force turnovers.

Byes: Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

Enjoy Week 4 everybody!
