With the NHL just recently expanding to 31 teams, it is already time to think about adding another one. At some point it is going to happen. Which place makes the most sense? I think Kansas City because the Central Division Needs one more team for eight. Realistically, it will probably be awarded to Seattle.

The team names I thought was either the Seattle Emeralds or the Kansas City Trains. The Key Arena is supposed to be renovated within the next couple of years so it can attract an NBA or NHL team. However, Kansas City has the Sprint Center and is ready now. The current Key Arena seats 15,177 people and the Sprint Center seats 17,544.

I am not sure who is supposed to own the team, but I would probably have Patrick Murray as my general manager and Bylsma as my coach. How would the team look? The same expansion draft rules apply.
