Steve Garvey

Before he was a legend, he was a bat boy for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Drafted in 1968 by the Dodgers, Garvey's career in L.A. spanned 14 years, from 1969 - 1982. Steve Garvey was part of the popular "Infield" and "30 - 30 club". He is arguably one of the greatest 1st basemen of all time. Before Garvey was called up to the majors, Tommy Lasorda in 1968, who was managing the minor league team the Ogden Dodgers, called in Bobby Valentine, Bill Buckner, Tom Paciorek and Steve Garvey to his office where he had all 4 of them individually write letters to their counterparts in Los Angeles. Steve Garvey wrote to Bill Sudakis.

Dear Bill,

You don't know me but my name is Steve Garvey. I play for Tommy Lasorda for the Ogden Dodgers, and he told me he is a friend of yours and that it was okay to write you this letter. Like I said, you don't know me, but I play third base here in Ogden, and I am going to take your job.

Sincerely,

Steve Garvey

He then went on to accomplish that goal and become a 10 time All Star, 2 Time All Star MVP, 1978 NLCS MVP, 4 time Gold Glove winner, The 1974 League MVP and World Series Champion, Steve Garvey held a .301 batting average to go with 211 homeruns, 991 Runs Batted In, 35 Triples and 333 Doubles. Along with 6 season with 200 Hits or more, an achievement reached by very few players.

Here is a quick interview with The Man, Steve Garvey.

Been in an accident and don't know what to do?

Trust me, I went through the process of doubt, uncertainty, worry and physical pain. Who is going to pay my medical bills? Am i going to pay out of pocket for the attorney and medical fees? Will I receive compensation?

Robert B. Sarvian and his legal staff were professional, friendly and informative through the process. Even The medical staff they referred me to was so good I didn't want to leave. Contact his office and start the process (213) 385 - 6323
