Pac-12 Week 7 Rankings: UDub Continues It's Run

At the halfway point in conference play, the standings have some surprises, but as is the case with the parity full Pac-12 conference.

1] Washington Huskies 6-0 (3-0)
Coming off a bye week, the Huskies get to host the Beavers, in what should be another blow-out victory. But then again, UDub nearly dropped a game in the Old Pueblo against the lowly Wildcats.

2] Utah Utes 6-1 (3-1)
The Utes had to fight and earn a victory against the Oregon State Beavers, despite injuries and bad weather. The end result is all that matters, as Utah climbs to a tie of the top slot in the Pac-12 South with a showdown against a middling UCLA squad in the Rose Bowl on deck.

3] Washington State Cougars 4-2 (3-0)
Wazzou overcame an early season blunder to Eastern Washington to fight its away in a tie with the Huskies atop the Pac-12 North. A high octane showdown against Arizona State is on the horizon, and a potential Apple Cup to determine the division winner may be in store.

4] Colorado Buffaloes 5-2 (3-1)
Colorado keeps on rolling, with a 40-16 rout over the Sun Devils, but a tough test is on the horizon as they fly to Stanford to face a Cardinal side looking to get back into the thick of things.

5] Stanford Cardinal 4-2 (2-2)
A playoff appearance was thought to be all but a lock for the Cardinal, along with McCaffrey running away with the Heisman Trophy. All of that has slipped out of grasp, as the Cardinal hope to make a late run to have a shot at the division.

6] USC Trojans 4-3 (3-2)
Running off three straight wins, the Trojans are right back in the thick of things for the divisional title and a trip to the Pac-12 conference championship game. A routing of the Wildcats was a good way to go into the bye week.

7] Arizona State Sun Devils 5-2 (2-2)
Colorado routed the Sun Devils, giving them their second divisional loss of the campaign, as Graham looks to correct the ship with Wazzou coming to town as the Sun Devils look to go bowling, in what was thought to be a down year.

8] UCLA Bruins 3-4 (1-3)
Jim Mora has never started conference play 1-3 in his prior five years with the Bruins, though four of those five did start 1-2. A tough loss in Pullman without Josh Rosen really stings, as the Bruins need to all-but run the table if they want a shot at the division. A home game against Utah may start the needed spark.

9] California Golden Bears 3-3 (1-2)
Coming off a bye week, the Golden Bears are hosting Oregon in a toilet bowl match-up of the division.

10] Oregon State Beavers 2-4 (1-2)
Beavers nearly upset Utah, but couldn't overcome the Utes, dropping the game 19-14 in Corvallis. A trip to Washington isn't going to be pretty for the Beavs.

11] Oregon Ducks 2-4 (0-3)
A date with Cal following a bye week should provide some action. Mark Helfrich might be feeling his seat getting warm and, possibly, on fire if the Ducks lose.

12] Arizona Wildcats 2-5 (0-4)
The Wildcats are having as bad a year as expected, and Rich Rod may be on the hot seat. However, Khalil Tate shows promise for the future.
