crash At The Clash - Johnson, Busch Wreck Out Of Non Points Race

After being rained out Saturday night, The Clash at Daytona got underway on Sunday afternoon just a few hours before teams were due to hit the track for Daytona 500 qualifying.

Jimmie Johnson was the cause of the 1st caution, just before the competition yellow came out at lap 25, when he got into the back of the 41 of Kurt Busch, spinning him into the outside wall in turn 4. Busch was running 11th at the time. Because of the new rules this year with crashes, Busch was out of the race when he was forced to head to the garage.

Johnson took himself out of the race on lap 49 when he got crazy loose running at the yellow line at the bottom of the track, also in turn 4, and crashed into the pit road wall. He also ended his day behind the wall in the garage.

Martin Truex got into the wall with 15 laps to go when he came down the track in front of the 42 of Kyle Larson and also made contact with Chris Buscher while spinning.

On the last lap the 11 of Denny Hamlin spins out in the back straightaway but does not draw the yellow flag and the race continues with Joey Logano crossing the finish line and winning his 1st Clash at Daytona. It was the 10th time that the race was decided on a last lap pass.
