Did You Know LaVar Ball Was Once a Carolina Panther?

NCAA Basketball: Washington State at UCLA

You may know LaVar Ball as the father UCLA basketball star Lonzo Ball who is always talking about how great his son is every time a microphone gets near him, but did you know he was once on the Carolina Panthers practice squad?

LaVar Ball was listed as a tight end on the practice squad sheet during the 1995 season. He was only on the practice squad for two months before his knee injury forced the Panthers to move on from him the following season. Ball never played a snap and was never interviewed during his time in the NFL. Media personal never cared to ask him questions. Frankly not very many practice squad players are interviewed.

Frank Garcia was his teammate in 1995. He started 14 games as an offensive lineman and claims that he doesn't remember him. “Like you and everyone else, I don’t remember him at all," said Garcia.

LaVar Ball was a bench-warming college basketball player who averaged around two points per game during his career and know he can not stop talking about how great his sons are and how he could beat Micheal Jordan in a one-on-one.
