Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot sat out his second day of organized team activities (OTAs) after he was involved in a car crash on Sunday.

The Cowboys said it was a "minor accident" and he did hit his head. The team's medical staff will continue to work with Elliot off to the side for the remainder of the week. The Cowboys learned about the accident Monday morning. Elliot was riding passenger side on the way home from a charity event Sunday night. This accident was similar to the fender bender he was involved in last season. Again, no serious injury concerns, but he will is being evaluated for a concussion and possible whiplash.

"When he came in on Monday he had some body stiffness and some neck stiffness, so we got him checked out," Garrett said. "We felt like it was the right thing to do to keep him out. He's done the dynamic warm-up over the last couple of days, but we kept him out of the practice portion of it."

Elliot will not practice Thursday. The team expects that he will return to practice next Tuesday.

"He's fine," running backs coach Gary Brown said. "He's good. Everything's good."

Darren McFadden took most of the snaps in place of Elliot.
