Tony Romo Will Share Snaps With Dak Prescott Week 17

With Tony Romo out dealing with injuries Dak Prescott has been leading the team. Prescott has led his team to a record of 13-2 earning a bye in the playoffs. He has thrown 3,330 yards, 23 touchdowns and four interceptions. Prescott also broke the most passing attempts to start a career without an interception (176) passing Brady (162).

Prescott will be starting week 17 against the Eagles, but will be splitting his snaps with Tony Romo and Mark Sanchez. How much exactly? That we will not know until the game starts. Ian Rapoport reported that the time Romo's playing time "won't be much." Rapoport said on Thursday that Mark Sanchez would play a majority of the snaps.

Romo, 36, has missed nine games this season dealing with a back injury. The team and owner Jerry Jones were not going to rush him back into action just to risk re-injury. Romo has had a history of injuries. In 2010 he only appeared in six games and least season he only played in four. He dealt with a fractured left clavicle twice in 2015 and back injuries 2014.

Romo is under contract with the Cowboys through 2019, but could be part of a lot of trade talks at the end of the season.
