Eddie Alvarez vs Dustin Poirier ruled NO CONTEST at UFC 211

Dallas TX: The MMA world comes to Dallas for one of the stacked cards so far in 2017 as it features a double main event as Stipec Miocic defends his heavyweight title vs Junior Dos Santos while Joanna Jędrzejczyk puts her UFC Women's Strawweight Championship on the line against Jéssica Andrade.

The city of Philadelphia returns to the Ultimate Fighting Championship spotlight in the prelim fights as it features Eddie Alvarez taking on Dustin Poirier in a 3 round Lightwieght fight. Alvarez is from Philadelphia has record of 28-5 and off a loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 205 back in November 2016 at Madison Square Garden in New York, while Dustin Poirier fighting out of of Coconut Creek, FLA comes into battle against Alvarez with record of 21-5 and off a Majority Decision win over Jim Miller back in February 2017 at Barclays Center in New York.

Both guys would come out throwing some big shots in the 1st round and they both landed. In the 2nd round, both guys would land some big shots and both got busted open and Referee Herb Dean would stop the fight as Alvarez would throw some knees that some would say look questionable and then ruled the fouls accidental which would lead to the fight to be ruled a no contest at 4:12 of the second round.
