Philadelphia Phillies' Top Pitching Prospect, Jake Thompson gets the Major League Call!
The Phillies announced yesterday that they will be calling up, Jake Thompson to make his Major League Debut this Saturday in San Diego against the Padres. This is in the awake of Aaron Nola going on the 15-Day DL due to a right elbow strain on Wednesday. Thompson is the number one Phillies' pitching prospect. Nola season might very well be done so this might not be a short stay for Thompson. Nola was having a so-so season he started off well but has been struggling the last several starts.

Pretty cool of Mark to say that. Hopefully it will be his time soon to be called up as well. Appel another Phillies top Prospect (#11) but will be probably be in the top ten now since Thompson got the call.
Jake Thompson before the season started was ranked #55 in the MLB.com Top 100 Prospects (Currently #70), he was #75 by Baseballamerica.com (#62 right now) and #34 (Top 101) by Baseballprospectus.com.
