Cavaliers set NBA Record in Win Over Hawks.

Hello Everybody, The Cleveland Cavaliers set an NBA record by hitting 25 three pointers in their 135-130 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavs and Hawks were hitting just about everything at the Phillips Arena on Friday Night. But the Cavs were the Better team and it showed.

This was a record setting night for the Cavs 25 three pointers the most ever in a regular-season game since the 1979-80 season. That was the year that the three point line was introduced. How in the world did the Cavaliers do it. When you look at some of the numbers form some of the stars of the game you will see what I mean.

The Cavaliers had the better night and it showed.

Kyrie Irving, He was the star of the night. He had 43 points along with 2 rebounds and 9 assists. He was also a perfect 10-10 form the free throw line.

LeBron James, He was just as good. James had 38 points along with 13 rebounds and 8 assists.

Channing Frye, He came out of nowhere and had a good game himself. Frye had 11 points along 4 rebounds and one assist.

Richard Jefferson, He came off the bench and out of nowhere, He had 11 points and 2 rebounds.

The Hawks had some surprising stars of the game as well.

Tim Hardaway Jr, He came off the bench and was the star for the Hawks. Hardaway had 36 points along with 2 two rebounds and two assists.

Paul MILSAP, he had a good game himself. MILSAP had 27 points along with nine rebounds and one assist.

Dwight Howard, He had 15 points along with 10 rebounds and two assists.

Tyrone LUE Said told reporters after the game " I was not happy with our performance late. Yes we did set an NBA record for the most three's but we could have had more. But we slacked off late in the game. But we won and that's all that matters. But we could have had More." LUE was fighting a cold and he also did say I don't want anybody else sick because we can't have that right now. Channing Frye was great off the bench. But I am hopeful that we can have Andrew BOGUT with the team very soon and he will be a great addition to our team.

Hawks Coach Mike BUDENHOLZER told reporters after their loss, We played our hearts out. We had some chances but the Cavs were the better team tonight. But I am still very proud of my guys for the way they played tonight. We are still in a playoff position. And we will back but this loss is going to sting because we threw everything at them but they were the Better Team.

Also Before I go today, The Hawks organization recognized "Pistol" Pete MARAVICH at halftime. And I will say it now he was smiling down on both teams on Friday Night. Here's my take, The Cavs and Hawks made history on Friday Night. Kyrie Irving did a lot of damage. And for Tim Hardaway Jr to come off the bench to be the star for the Atlanta Hawks, it was amazing to see that.

But let's get serious for a second. The Cavs are the top seed in the NBA eastern conference. The Boston Celtics are the only team at the moment that can catch the Cavaliers. The Celtics are 3 games behind Cleveland. But anything can happen and it usually does.

Now as for the Atlanta Hawks. As it stands at the moment they are the number 5 seed in the NBA east conference. They can play the role of spoiler for somebody. And after the effort they gave in the 135-130 loss to the Cavs, I can't rule out the Hawks being a sleeper pick to win the NBA east. But I will stick with the Cavs to win the NBA east and the NBA World Championship.
