Is Tristan Thompson the next NBA player to fall victim to the "Kardashian Curse"?
I know some people don't believe in curses, but at some point you have to wonder that they could be actually true. A couple of NBA players have dated the Kardashian women and their NBA careers have taken some "strange" turns and they were just thrown off.
Let's go back to Lamar Odom who married Chloe Kardashian back in 2009, he was playing for the L.A. Lakers in the midst of back-to-back championship runs and then his life to a turn for the worst when he become tied up in reality TV life. His career spiraled out of control to the point where he couldn't get a job in the league and turned to alcohol and drugs. He is still recovering but you get my point about the situation.
NBA forward Chris Humphries was the next victim of the clan as he would also marry Kim Kardashian (Now Kim West) Chloe's sister and he to would bite the bullet as their marriage would only last 2 years. Chris has since bounced around the league and last played for the Atlanta Hawks this past season.
Houston Rockets star James Harden was Chloe's latest victim as he was in MVP conversations all season long until he flopped against the San Antonio Spurs. Harden only scored 10 points in a crucial game 7 after averaging nearly 30 a game during the regular season. One thing for sure he hasn't forgot and that's to party after games.
All of the above brings me to my point of the whole article, is Tristan Thompson the next victim of the "Kardashian Curse"? Thompson is one of the best rebounder's in the league and can score in paint due to his rebounding tangent, but he has disappeared since the start of the NBA finals. Tristan has only 11 rebounds in the first 3 games as the Cavs are on the verge of getting swept by the Warriors. Thompson got paid (there's a pattern, #stay woke people) last offseason, signing a 5-year/$82 million dollar deal to keep him in Cleveland. LeBron James vouched for him to be re-signed, but it's has since backfired as Thompson has fallen victim to the "Kardashian Curse", so is he next to suffer a bad fate? Why nobody likes Courtney though?
