Warrick Dunn has always been a special player no matter if it was his time in Tallahassee at Florida State, his time with the Bucs who drafted him 12th overall in 1997 or his second home with Atlanta where he spent 6 seasons with the Falcons.

He excelled on and off the football field, whether it was scoring touchdowns for the Buccaneers and Falcons or giving homes to families through his foundation, Warrick found a way to put smiles on people's faces.

Warrick got his strength from his mother whom he lost at a young age. It gave him the strength to become a father figure to his sister and the spirit to bless others.

One of Warrick's good deeds was to the family of Deshaun Watson who went on to star at Gainesville High, Clemson University and now is the starting QB of the Houston Texans. Warrick's good deed rubbed off on Deshaun as he would give his very first game check to three Houston Texans workers who lost everything is the Hurricane Harvey disaster.

Yes Mr. Dunn has earned my respect and the respect of many with his generous heart and loving spirit, so it was finally time for someone to do the same for him.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank suprised Warrick on camera and gave him and up close interview to let him know that he would be rewarded by placing him in the Falcons Ring of Honor. He will be the 10th Falcon to receive that honor.

I salute you Warrick and Atlanta thanks you for being such a stand up guy!
