It is no surprise. Mets fans have been wanting Callaway on the chopping block for months.

The Edmonton Oilers have placed Adam Larsson on long-term injured reserve with a fractured right fibula and is out for six to eight weeks.

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Alex DeBrincat to a three-year, $19.2 million contract extension.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have demoted Timothy Liljegren and recalled Nic Petan.

The Arizona Coyotes have signed Darcy Kuemper to a two-year contract extension.

Buffalo Sabre's Brandon Montour is going to miss three to four weeks because of a hand injury.

The New England Patriots have placed Stephen Gostkowski on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Bill Bidwill passes away at 88.

On a sad note, Arizona Cardinal's owner, Bill Bidwill, has passed away at age 88.

Carolina Panther's Kawaan Short is out for the rest of the season with a partially torn rotator cuff.

Finally, the Cincinnati Bengals have placed John Ross on injured reserve with a clavicle injury.
