Trout Celebrates Birthday in Style

Mike Trout turned 26th yesterday and celebrated in a big way. He notched his 1,000th career hit. He didn't do it with a normal hit either, he mashed a home run to add some flair.

With this hit, Trout starts to cement his legacy as one of the greats. He is widely seen as the one of the best in baseball right now. If he plays until he is 38, Trout has the chance to not only join the 3000 hit club, but also join the 600 home run club if he keeps on the current pace that he has been on through his career.

That would put him in the league with the all time great offensive players. But he also plays amazing defense. Trout has the potential and ability to go down as one of the very best to have ever played the game. He can join the ranks of Hank Aaron and Willie Mays if he stays on the same pace that he has been on through the first 6 years of his career.
