New York Yankees should trade Carlos Beltran to the Cleveland Indians

The Yankees should trade Carlos Beltran before the MLB trade deadline.
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Yankees might be trading Carlos Beltran and Arodis Chapman very soon.  ESPN writer Alex Tekip reports that the Yankees are discussing potential trades. ESPN reporter Buster Olney reported that the Cleveland Indians are a sleeper team and willing to part ways with prospects to win now.  ESPN reporter Jim Bowden reported that the Toronto Blue Jays are also talking to the Yankees about Carlos Beltran. However, I doubt that Yankees will trade Carlos Beltran to their division rival.

The trade deadline is getting very intriguing. The New York Yankees are 44-46 and dropped two games in a row to their rival the Boston Redsox. The Yankees are going to try to salvage the series tonight on Sunday Night baseball on ESPN. The Yankees have a difficult stretch coming up against the Baltimore Orioles and the San Fransisco Giants.  I was optimistic about the Yankees season this year. However, the New York Yankees did not meet expectations.

The first move the Yankees should do is ask Aroldis Chapman if he wants to sign a extension with the Yankees. If he refuses offer Carlos Beltran and Aroldis Chapman in a package deal for prospects to the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees need to rebuild and leave the middle ground of being a borderline contender behind. The good news for the Yankees they have a lot of options they can consider. I am optimistic that Aroldis Chapman would want to stay with the New York Yankees. I hope the Yankees trade Michael Pineda, Nathan Eovaldi, Carlos Beltran,  and CC Sabathia. I hope that the Yankees can keep Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman. What do you think should the Yankees trade Carlos Beltran to the Cleveland Indians?
