San Antonio Spurs need to sign Thomas Robinson

Thomas Robinson would become a great San Antonio Spur!

The San Antonio Spurs should sign Thomas Robinson this week to a veteran minimum contract. In April CBS reporter James Herbert reported that Thomas Robinson desired to play 20 minutes a game. After watching his highlight tapes he looks like the perfect fit for the San Antonio Spurs. He looks like a young LaMarcus Aldridge in the post and he is a excellent at getting rebounds.  The San Antonio Spurs could get Thomas Robinson 20 minutes each game and he would be a great fit alongside Dewayne Dedmon. If the Spurs can pull this move off they would have the most athletic front-court in the NBA. Dewayne Dedmon is young and ready to play at 26 and Thomas Robinson at 25 is full of potential.

Thomas Robinson would be a great fit in the Spurs system and he would make the San Antonio Spurs the best team in the Western Conference in my opinion. The San Antonio Spurs size and rebounding would be a mismatch for the Golden State Warriors. The San Antonio Spurs have so much versatility if they land Thomas Robinson. The San Antonio Spurs will even be improved at shooting the three pointer this year with the roster they have assembled. The Spurs front office keeps improving the roster.

I don't think anyone can replace the leadership that Tim Duncan gave the San Antonio Spurs. However, they will not take any steps back in 2016-2017. The Spurs are going to be a great team this year and just need to add one more big man to the roster. The Spurs pitch should include the fact that Gregg Popovich gets the most potential out of his players. He has turned Danny Green into a three point shooter with a great defensive mindset. Thomas Robinson can be the next great San Antonio Spur and hopefully he will be signed this week.
