What did learn for this past weekend in College Football, well it's very simple. Ohio State and LSU are the two best teams in the country. I also leaned that you can now officially stick a fork in Notre Dame and Wisconsin after they both suffered bad losses.

I also leaned that with Oklahoma losing the PAC-12 won on Saturday and that the BIG-12 is now wide open and Kansas State may have played the roll of spoiler along with Michigan with that Victory over Notre Dame the Fighting Irish are now done and they missed a golden opportunity.

I want to talk about Ohio State-Wisconsin.. OSU wins 38-7.

What the Buckeyes did on Saturday to Wisconsin was the best performance by the Defense I have ever seen. Ohio State had 5 sacks, four by chase Young, eight tackles for loss and they held the best Running Back in Jonathan Taylor to 20 carries for 52 Yards, that was it. Wisconsin only had 83 Yards rushing for the game.

J.K Dobbins and Justin Fields were the other stars of the game. Dobbins had 20 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Justin Fields went 12/22 for 167 yards and two touchdowns, not bad considering they played in the rain. But what the Ohio State Defense did was something to remember and Chase Young now is a candidate for the Heisman Trophy.

As a matter of fact Ohio State has three Heisman Candidates. Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins and Chase Young, and that's a fact you can go to the bank with.

Wisconsin was bad on offense..

191 yards total offense.

9 First Downs.

2 turnovers.

That Pretty much sums up Wisconsin-Ohio State.

Oklahoma-Kansas State.. K-State wins 48-41.

The upset of the day in College Football opened the door for some one loss teams to get some consideration in the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma Losing to Kansas State was a shocker to say in the least. But Kansas State, I will give them credit they flat got after it all day long and the offense really stepped up in this game.

Skylar Thompson, he went 18/28 for 213 yards and carried the ball 19 times for 39 yards for four touchdowns.

James Gilbert, he had 13 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Jalen Hurts was hurting in this game mentally. But he went 19/26 for 395 yards and a touchdown and he had to carry the game on his shoulders as he also had 19 carries for 96 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Ceedee Lamb was the only other highlight for the Sooners, he had five catches for 135 yards and a touchdown.

The way the Wildcats played was impressive they were leading 48-23 at one point in the game, however the Sooners found they way back. But with 1;45 left in the Sooners had to do an onside kick. The Sooners recovered and everybody including myself was thinking they're going to tie this game. Hold everything there was a replay review and it turned out that one of the Oklahoma Players touched the ball before It went ten yards. The Sooners got called for an illegal touching and Kansas State was awarded the ball and the game.

Let's talk about the status of the College Football Playoff..

It's very simple with Oklahoma losing we have some one loss teams the deserve some serious consideration. And yes I will include the PAC-12, both Oregon and Utah deserve some looking into because they both have one loss and I have said the PAC-12 Is weak, I would rethink that if I were you.

Not only that, now the BIG-12 is wide open after Oklahoma's loss. The Kansas State Wildcats threw everything into a tailspin on Saturday. Not only did the PAC-12 become a big winner so did the BIG-12 because it was proven that the Sooners were only human and they couldn't keep this up for ever. They gave up 48 points on Saturday. But the Question is now what can Oklahoma do, It's very simple, win out and win the BIG-12 Championship. If you lose one more game, you're done.

Then the question becomes what about LSU-Alabama and Penn State-Ohio State. It's very simple, these teams are on a collision course. But at the moment let's face it, Ohio State and LSU are the two best teams in the country right now.

LSU faces Alabama on November 9th..

This game could be for all of the marbles in the SEC west and the College Football Playoff. LSU's Joe Burrow is one of the best Quarterback's in College Football. I know that LSU barley escaped Auburn 23-20, i haven't forgotten about that at all. But Joe Burrow Is Doing what he needs to do.Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa has missed his last couple of starts due to Injury. So with Tagovailoa out Mac Jones has stepped up as the Starter for the Crimson tide.

This Game Promises to be a good one, if they follow script.

Ohio State Faces Penn State On November 23rd.

The Penn State-Ohio State game is going to be for all of the marbles in the BIG-10 east. I grant you that Penn State still has to face a fairly tough Minnesota squad. The Golden Gophers are 8-0 at right now. But if Penn State gets passed Minnesota then the showdown at the shoe will have more than the BIG-10 east on the line, we could be talking the College Football Playoff also before it's all said and done.

Ohio State just needs to stay the course and keep winning. They had no problem with Wisconsin on Saturday and they Buckeyes do have Maryland coming up this Saturday at home so we will see what Ohio State does the rest of the way. The Buckeyes hardest test will be against Penn State because it's the final home game of the season for the Buckeyes and then it's off to Ann Arbor.

Who's now officially out.

Notre Dame had a golden opportunity to jump in and get some consideration, but thanks to the Michigan Wolverines that's now gone. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said after the game, "I'm disappointed in our performance tonight we did not play like a College Football Playoff type team and I'm very unhappy right now."

As for Jim Harbaugh, he got a huge win, but he's not out of the woods yet, he still has to beat Ohio State in the Big House where he has struggled. I've said it once and I'll say it again. If Jim Harbaugh Losses to Ohio State he's out.

We can also say that Wisconsin is out after two very bad loses to Illinois and Ohio State. This was supposed to be the year the Badgers break through. But time and time again they suffer very bad losses at this time of the year. Last year it was BYU and it went downhill from their. This Year they lose to the Fighting Illini and then the Buckeyes in back-to-back weeks. So Yes let's stick a fork in them.

That sums it up..

Bottom Line..
