It's Official, Legendary Car Owner Roger Penske Will Be Receiving The Presidential Medal Of Freedom From President Donald Trump. Mr. Trump Made That Decision On Thursday During a Press Briefing At The White House. President Trump Also Said That... " Roger Penske Has Done More For The American Auto Industry Than Any Other Owner. And In My Opinion This Is a Special Person Who Has Earned This Special Honor." Back In May After Simon Pagenaud Won The Indianapolis 500 President Trump Called Roger Penske While In Japan. Trump Was At a Special Summit With The Japanese Prime Minister Amongst Trade Talks.

Roger Penske Released This Statement...

" It Is An Honor To Receive The Presidential Medal Of Freedom,It Is The Highest Honor Any Civilian Can Receive. It Is Also An Honor To Go Back To The White House And Visit With Mr. Trump Again And Talk Auto Racing And Talk About the American Auto Industry As a Whole And What Can We Do To Fix it. And Yes It Is An Honor To Receive The Presidential Medal Of Freedom From a Proud American And Mr. Trump Is a Good Person And a Good Friend Of My And He Loves The Penske Organization."

Here's My Take...

Some People Are Weary Of Mr. Trump Giving Roger Penske The Presidential Medal Of Freedom. In My Opinion Roger Penske Has Earned This Honor, And President Trump Agrees With A lot Of People In The Racing Community. Think About What Penske Has Done In His Career, 12 IndyCar Driving Titles As An Owner, 18 Indianapolis 500 Wins As An Owner. Penske Might as Well Have Half Ownership Of The Speedway, Two NASCAR Championships With Brad Keselowski And Joey Logano. Two Wins In The Daytona 500 With Ryan Newman And Joey Logano. Look At What Penske Has Done In His Career. Now If You Want To Question Penske Receiving This Wonderful Honor From President Trump Go Ahead. But Think About What The Captain Has Done In His Cherished Career. Penske Is 82 Years Old And He Shows No Signs Of Slowing Down Anytime Soon. I Can See Three More Years Out Of Penske Because He Has The Stamina To Do It. Do I See Penske Slowing Down, NO WAY!!!!!!!.

One Last Thing,
