What's Going On With The Philadelphia Phillies...

Here's My Take And It's Going To Be Worth Reading...

Right Now The Phillies Are In Big Trouble At The Moment, But Before You Blame Andrew McCutchen's Season Ending Injury I Want to Explain Why The Phillies Are In The Position They Are Right Now. Let's Go Back To May 29th, The Philadelphia Phillies Are In First Place By 3 1/2 Games Over The Atlanta Braves. Then We Hit June And Then Everything Went Wrong. The Phillies Have Lost Seven In a Row And They Are Only 6-14 For The Month Of June, And At The Moment The Phillies Are Playing .500 Baseball. This Was The Team That Won The Bryce Harper Sweepstakes During The Offseason To Help The Phillies Compete For The Postseason. Well Right Now It's Going to Be a Miracle If The Phillies Finish at .500 For The Season. And Also To, The Phillies Got Swept By The Miami Marlins And These Are The Same Marlins Who Are Dead Last In The Division.

AND DO NOT BLAME ANDREW MCCUTCHEN'S INJURY FOR THIS AND HERE'S WHY.

The Phillies Hitting Has Taken a Hit of It's Own I Mean Come On They Have Be Struggling Lately, And Here's a Few Reasons Why.

Ceasar Hernandez, He's Hit Seven Home Runs This Season And Has 33 RBI'S On The Season And His Numbers Are Good But Not Stellar, .275/.330/.430, He Needs To Start Hitting More Home Runs, And Get On Base And Slugging Percentage Up Because He's Been Either Go Big Or Go Home. In the Three Game Set Against Miami, Hernandez Was 6-for-10, He Was The Only Real Highlight For The Phil's.

Rhys Hoskins, He Leads The Team In Home Runs With 16 On The Season, He Also Has 50 RBI'S To His Credit. But When It Comes To The Batting Average It Needs Work, .270/.401./.522, Now It's The Same Deal, It's Go Big Or Go Home. Here's The Case In Point, 5-FOR-9 Against The Marlins, WOW!!!!!

Bryce Harper, He Has 13 Home Runs And Leads The Team With 52 RBI's. He Was Supposed To Be The Player Who Saves The Day But That Has Not Happened Yet And Here's Why, .248/.364/467, Harper Has Got to Work On Everything From Batting Average, On Base And Slugging Because He's Been Struggling. How About 4-For-10 Against Miami, YIKES!!!!!!.

And As a Whole The Phillies Are Not Doing Better As a Team When It Comes To Hitting.

Phillies .240/.322/.412/

Opponents .263/.335/.458/

That's One Of The Reason's Why The Phillies Are Struggling. The Other Reason Why Philadelphia Is Playing Bad In June, The Pitching.

Jake Arrieta, He Leads the Team With Six Wins, But Here's The Problem, He's 6-6 With a 4.12 ERA, That ERA Needs to Comedown If Arrieta Wants To Be Effective.

Aaron Nola, He Leads The Team With The Most Strikeouts With 100 K's On The Season, And He Is 6-2. But The ERA Is at 4.55, He's Another One Who Needs to Bring The ERA Down If He Wants To Make Any Noise. Nola Did Make Some Noise On Friday With 8 Inning Performance With 10 K's But He Got The Loss Thanks To The Bullpen.

Zach Eflin, He Leads The Team With The Lowest ERA Of 2.83, But He Has a 6-7 Record As a Starter This Season. The Phillies Will Need Him To Start Going Deep Into Ballgames Because The Bullpen Is Not That Good.

Adam Morgan, He Leads The Team With 15 Holds This Season And Has a 3.32 ERA And Has a 2-2 Record. But When I Say The Bullpen Is a Problem. Let's Go Back To Saturday Against Miami. Morgan Only Pitched 2/3 Of an Inning, Gave Up Two Hits And Three Runs And The Phillies Lost That Game.

Hector Neries, He's The Only Bright Spot For The Phillies Pitching Staff, He Has 15 Saves And He Leads The Team And With a 2.59 ERA He Has Proven Time and Time Again Her Can Get The Job Done. But He Needs Run Support And He's Not Getting It.

Now In Closing I Will Say This, The Phillies Are Struggling And There's No End In Sight. However I Will Say This, Do Not Blame Andrew McCutchen's Injury For The Phillies Struggles. The Phillies Have Played Bad In June. The Have No Bullpen Support And The Sluggers Are Not Hitting. And The Pitching Is Not That Good Either With a 4.51 ERA As a Group At The Moment. But When a Team Like The Phillies Who Were The Odds On Favorites To The NL East Are Only Playing .500 Baseball, There's a Problem. And On Tap Of That They Got Swept By The Miami Marlins Of All Teams. The Marlins Are Dead Out Of It And Going Nowhere Except In The Wrong Direction. The Phillies Hitters Need To Start Hitting And The Pitching Staff Needs To Wake Up Now Because The Midway Point Of The Season Is Just Around The Corner, And The All-star Break Will Be Here Before You Know It.

So Phillies Fans And The City Of Philadelphia You Need To Tell Your Baseball Team To Wake Up And Smell The Coffee Because They Need a Wakeup Call Before It's To Late. And The Chance of The NL East And Any Possibility Of The Post Season Will Be Gone Before You Know It.
