The Tennessee Titans have done the unthinkable, they upset the New England Patriots 20-13 in the AFC wild-card round in the playoffs.

Derrick Henry, was the star of the game for the Titans on the road at Foxboro. He had 34 carries for 182 yards and one touchdown in the game. The rest of Titans offense only had 90 yards total and one touchdown, that was it for the Titans.

Derrick Henry's career game came on his birthday. Henry told reporters afterwards, " I am very happy to win in a hostile environment. We move on to the next round and the Baltimore Ravens. I am very pleased with I did but it's gets tougher going forward."

The turning point of the game was when Tom Brady had nothing to show for his performance on Saturday night. Yes Brady did go 20-37 for 209 yards and one interception, but he could not find the end zone in the game at all.

Tom Brady was asked about his future and retirement. Brady told reporters, " I have no plains on retirement anytime soon. I love the Patriots to much to retire form the game I love. And yes I will plan on being back next season. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, said that he was "disappointed in his teams effort in the game. Belichick also said that we could have played a lot better down the stretch in some games that we did not win. We will be back again next year."

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, said that, " our team got the job done in a very hostile environment and I'm very happy with what we were able to do. Next stop Baltimore and a divisional round matchup with the Ravens."

Here are some final numbers to look at and you will see what I mean.

Tennessee Titans..

272 yards total offense..

71 yards passing..

31:09 T.O.P..

Logan Ryan did have a Pick-Six with just a few seconds left..

New England Patriots..

307 yards total offense..

98 yards rushing..

28:51 T.O.P..

Julian Edelman had the lone touchdown for the Patriots. He only had 2 carries for 12 yards in the game.

Here's my take..

The New England Patriots just played bad in the 2nd half of this game. It was so bad for the Patriots they were shutout on the scoreboard for the final 32:16 of the game. Derrick Henry just ran through the Patriots defensive line like they were nothing. The Tennessee Titans won the game on the ground at Foxboro in the fog. Give credit to the Titans for what they did in a hostile environment at Foxboro Stadium, that is not a fun place to play if you a visiting team.

But as far as the New England Patriots go, everybody was thinking Super Bowl when the season started. The Patriots started the season 8-0, then the wheels started falling off. The Patriots went 2-4 in their final 6 games, that includes three home losses and they were bad ones to, they lost to the Miami Dolphins for crying out loud in the final game of the regular season.

Tom Brady falls to 2-2 in the Wild-Card round of the Playoffs as the quarterback of the Patriots. Let's face it, the Patriots had no answer for the Titans on Saturday Night. Tennessee dominated that game.

Now as far as Tom Brady's retirement plans, stay tuned because it could get interesting. I know he said he has no plans on retirement, but you never know what will happen in the off-season.

Bottom Line..
