Royals add Jason Hammel

After the tragic death of Yordano Ventura earlier this offseason, the Royals were now faced with a tough decision. Their already subpar bullpen lost yet another key-to-the-cog this time for an unforeseen reason. The Royals added Jason Hammel late Sunday Night following an all-time Super Bowl.

Jason Hammel spent 2016 winning a World Series with the Cubs. Hammel tossed 166-innings, in 30-starts. With a 3.83-ERA, and a 15-10 record Hammel was a solid arm in the Cubbies rotation. Hammel posted a 1.206-WHIP.

The Royals, acquired Brandon Moss earlier this offseason who hit a pair of homers in the 2014 AL Wild Card game for the Oakland A's. He now joins the Royals. Now, the Royals have added Jason Hammel who was on the bump for the A's as Salvador Perez hit a walk-off single scoring Christian Colon and the rest is history.
