Lamar Jackson did Nothing on Saturday..........

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Boys and girls, that title is what you call "clickbait." That entire title should read "Lamar Jackson Did Nothing On Saturday To Hurt His Chances At Taking Home the Heisman This Season." But you've already seen a million articles telling you how phenomenal Jackson is. Normally, this is the time of week where'd I'd give you my top 5 Heisman candidates. But Jackson already had a lead on the competition as of last week, and now he's out to a commanding lead as we take the final turn and head to the final stretch. But since you're here, you may as well read why Jackson is still way out in front.
This week the human highlight reel put up a casual 431 yards and 4 TDs on his way to absolutely dismantling NC State. Actually, let me rephrase myself. He performed below average by Lamar Jackson standards, because he's actually averaging 5 TDs per game.
Through 7 games Jackson has racked up 2161 yards through the air (308.7 ypg), 18 TDS, only 4 INTs, and an off the charts 159.9 QB Rating. He's also added 908 yards on the ground (129.7 ypg/ 7.0 ypc), and 16 TDs.
Jackson is on pace for over 5,200 combined and 60, yes, SIXTY TDs.  Louisville's remaining schedule includes back to back road games vs Virginia and Boston College, a stop at home to face Wake Forest, then Houston on the road before they finish the season at home vs Kentucky for the Governor's Cup.
The Lamar Jackson Show is worth the price of admission, folks. No commercials. All greatness.
