Coaching Change Inspiring Bruins

Ever since the Bruins fired Claude Juilen, interim coach Bruce Cassidy has brought life into them.  Boston is playing more of a speed and skill game under him. They are 3-0 ever since the change, including a 4 to 0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens last night.

Boston has scored 14 goals in the last three games. What also sparked the Bruins last night was Torey Krug dropping the gloves with Andrew Shaw and it sparked the crowd in Boston.

Adam McQuaid scored for the Bruins in the first-period. Zdeno Chara scored a short-handed goal and David Krejci scored a power-play goal for Boston in the second-period. Frank Vatrano scored for them in the third-period.

Tuukka Rask stopped 25 shots for his sixth shutout of the season.`Carey Price stopped 32 shots for the Canadiens. Boston won the season series 3 to 1, and they head into their bye week.

They could be a force to be reckoned with sooner rather than later in the eastern conference, especially in a weak Atlantic Division.
