Matt Murray's 29 saves and his third shutout of the season sparked the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 4 to 0 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. In the second period, Evgeni Malkin scored. This was his first game back since the lower-body injury he sustained a couple of weeks ago.

Jake Guentzel scored in the third-period for the Penguins, and Sidney Crosby assisted on the goal. Crosby has 999 career points and he only needs one more for 1,000. Phil Kessel and Matt Cullen scored the other two goals in the period for Pittsburgh.

Ryan Miller was solid in net for the Canucks with 38 saves. These two teams will play each other one more time this season.
