Kevin Love Sidelined for 6 Weeks

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers are unfortunate that Kevin Love will be sidelined for the next 6 weeks, but at least Cavs and their fans are hopefully he will be back for the postseason. He underwent arthroscopic left knee surgey on Tuesday Morning to remove a loose body, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Love will obviously not participate in this weekend's all-star game. He is averaging 20 PPG and 11.1 RPG this season. Channing Frye and Derrick Williams will see more minutes at the power forward spot until Love returns. It is possible we see some moments during games where Lebron James plays the four.

Love is having one of the best seasons of his career. Remember the rumors about maybe a Carmelo Anthony for Kevin Love trade? It certainly won't happen now.
