Flames Sign Tyler Parsons

The Calgary Flames have signed goalie Tyler Parsons to a three-year entry level contract. He was taken in the second round (54th overall) in last summer's draft. He has played with the London Knights (OHL) for the past three seasons.

He appeared in 34 games this season with London. His record is 23-6-2-3 with a 2.37 GAA and a .925 save percentage, along with four shutouts. Parsons is one of the reasons why London is in the postseason and also won the Memorial Cup last season.

Brian Elliott and Chad Johnson will be both free agents at the end of the season, but one of them will most likely be resigned.

In a couple of seasons, expect Parsons to be a starting goaltender in the NHL for a long time. He has a good competitive edge.
