Turner's Homerun Lifts Dodgers Once Again

Justin Turner hit the go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning for the Los Angeles Dodgers with two outs in game one of the World Series. It sparked Los Angeles to win the game 3-1 over the Houston Astros.

Turner has been amazing time and time again for the Dodgers this postseason. The other run of the game for the Dodgers came on the first pitch in the first inning and Chris Taylor crushed a homer to left field.

Alex Bregman hit a solo homer for the Astros in the fourth inning. Clayton Kershaw was the winning pitcher for the Dodgers. He pitched 7 innings and gave up 3 hits and a run. Kershaw struck out 11 batters. Dallas Keuchel was the losing pitcher for the Astros. He pitched 6.2 innings and gave up 6 hits and 3 runs. Keuchel walked a batter and struck out 3.

Kenley Jansen picked up the save for the Dodgers. He pitched an inning and struck out a batter. Game one of the World Series was very smooth and the game only lasted for two hours and 28 minutes. This is the quickest World Series game since 1992. Game two of the World Series is tonight in Los Angeles.
