Week 8 NFL Predictions

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

No one in the NFL is undefeated heading into week 8. Once again the Cleveland Browns haven't won a game yet. Seattle and Arizona was the first game to end in a tie since Carolina and Cincinnati in 2014. The playoff races will start to heat up soon. I went 7-7-1 with my picks last week. I am 64-42-1 on the year.

Jacksonville Jaguars 24, Tennessee Titans 27: The Titans shot themselves in the foot last week, and the Jaguars have there backs against the wall. Blake Bortles needs to get his receivers on the same page and the running game needs to get going. However, the Titans ground and pound style of defense and offense will say something about that.

Washington Redskins 17, Cincinnati Bengals 21: This could be either a real boring or exciting game. Kirk Cousins has been rolling the past few weeks. Andy Dalton found his groove last week, but he is facing a better defense this week. Jeremy Hill will outplay Matt Jones.

New England Patriots 31, Buffalo Bills 16: The last time these two teams met, Buffalo shut out New England without Tom Brady. This is going to a tougher challenge for the Bills this time around. They might be without LeSean McCoy with a hamstring injury. Rob Gronkowski has been on fire at tight end for the Patriots.

Arizona Cardinals 17, Carolina Panthers 23: The Panthers are coming off a bye week and need an immediate response. They are playing at home and it should help them. Arizona has struggled to score all year.

New York Jets 20, Cleveland Browns 14: This game will feature the AFC Toilet Bowl. The Jets are shaky at quarterback and so are the Browns. The reason why the Jets will win this game is because their name isn't the Cleveland Browns.

Detroit Lions 28, Houston Texans 21: Sorry Houston, your home comfort is going to come to an end. Detroit's offense is looking consistent. Houston's offense isn't.

Kansas City Chiefs 34, Indianapolis Colts 20: Spencer Ware will beast mode the Colts rushing defense. Andrew Luck will face pressure all game long from the Chiefs defense.

Seattle Seahawks 21, New Orleans Saints 14: Drew Brees will have a difficult time passing the ball against the Seahawks defense. They have one of the best defense in the league. Russell Wilson will use his arms and legs to carry the Seahawks offense to victory.

Oakland Raiders 30, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27: Tampa Bay has pulled off two impressive road wins in the last three weeks. They return home to face a tough Raiders team, who loves to play on the road. Derek Carr will commit fewer turnovers than Jameis Winston will.

San Diego Chargers 28, Denver Broncos 31: Melvin Gordon is running wild right now. He is going to put pressure on Denver's defense all game long. Phillip Rivers is having a sensational season so far and he will test the Broncos secondary. Trevor Siemian is going to make big plays in order for the Broncos to win.

Green Bay Packers 38, Atlanta Falcons 24: Aaron Rodgers is going to have fun picking apart the Falcons secondary. The Packers receivers should have no problem getting open. Ty Montgomery will still run the ball effectively for them. Devonta Freeman is going to get stuffed in the backfield all game long. Tevin Coleman won't be able to bail him out this week due to injury.

Philadelphia Eagles 21, Dallas Cowboys 23: Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott will be facing off for the first of many battles they will have throughout the next decade. Both defenses have been very good this season. The Cowboys will have more big plays than the Eagles will.

Minnesota Vikings 28, Chicago Bears 13: Jay Cutler will return for the Bears this week at quarterback. This mean the Vikings should pick him off a couple of times. Expect Sam Bradford to bounce back after an awful game against the Eagles.

Byes: New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, and Miami Dolphins.
