Westbrook not among all-star Starters is Insane

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday the NBA announced the starters for the east and west all-star teams. It will take place on February 19th at 8 p.m. in New Orleans. The east starters are: Lebron James, Jimmy Butler, Demar Derozan, Kyrie Irving, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

There is no issue with those starters. As for the west it is: Steph Curry, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis. Wait, hold on a minute? Are you telling me Russell Westbrook didn't make the starting 5 for the all-star game?

He is averaging 30.6 PPG 10.6 RPG and 10.4 APG. That is a triple-double per game. No body else is doing that this season. Steph Curry is averaging 24.6 PPG 4.2 RPG and 6.1 APG. Those are nice numbers, but they aren't oh my goodness numbers. Did he deserve to make the game? Sure he did.

Westbrook not being a starter is ridiculous. He is now going to have to rely on the coaches to get him into the all-star game.
