Blue Jackets beat Wild in battle of the Goalies.

Hello Everybody. The Columbus Blue Jackets are continuing their winning ways. They Beat the Minnesota Wild 1-0 on Thursday night in a Battle of the Goalies. The Blue Jackets prevailed and here was the matchup that everybody was talking about.

For the Columbus Blue Jackets Sergei BOBROVSKY.

For the Wild Devan DUBNYK.

The Blue Jackets prevailed in this battle of the Goalies thanks to Brandon SAAD who had the only goal of the game. It came with 4:32 left in regulation. However Minnesota had a goal disallowed in the 2nd period. Here's what happened, In a battle for the Puck Erik HAULA was in a battle like you wouldn't believe. The Puck went into the net however it was reviewed and it was determined that the Puck was kicked into the net after it went off of Blue Jackets Defenseman William KARLSSON. The end result was no goal. And it remained scoreless until SAAD put it into the net for the eventual win for the Blue Jackets.

BOBROVSKY was fantastic in the net last night stopping 38 shots and recording his 4th shutout of the season and the 16th of his career. And he put the Blue Jackets into a position that they have never been before. sole possession of 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division.

Devan DUBNYK was fantastic in the net last night. He did have 39 saves but he gave up the lone goal in the Wild's loss on Thursday Night. But he did have a great night in a losing effort. But The Wild are still in 1st place in the NHL Central Division.

This game was billed perfectly as the battle of the Goalies. Here's My take, The Blue Jackets did prevail but the Wild are still the hottest team in the NHL right now. The Wild can still get a Very high Seed if they continue to win games and Don't Be Surprised if we see the Wild Possibly win the Stanley Cup. Because right now they are the odds on favorites in the eyes of some odds makers at the moment. So don't be surprised if we see the Minnesota Wild in the Cup finals.

Now as for the Blue Jackets, the Jackets are now in sole possession of 2nd place in the red hotly contested Metropolitan Division. They did surpass the Pittsburgh Penguins. I have said it once and I might as well say it again. The Blue Jackets will face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. But the Penguins have had some trouble In the last few games. But the Penguins and Sidney Crosby will get back on the Winning track and we will see these two teams faceoff in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. When and Where, we don't know. But I have that Gut Feeling about this.

And one last thing before I go. The Blue Jackets and the Wild return to action over the Weekend.

The Blue Jackets travel to Ottawa to face the Senators on Saturday.

The Wild return home on Sunday to face the San Jose Sharks.
