Bobrovsky Records his 3rd straight shutout.

Hello Everyone, The Columbus Blue Jackets are playing great hockey. But even they can have an off night once in a while. But when you have the Best Goalie in the NHL in Sergei BOBROVSKY you can afford to have an off night. That's how the Blue Jackets beat the New Jersey Devils 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Sergei BOBROVSKY recorded 33 saves in this shutout performance despite not having much offensive support in the game.

Oliver BJORKSTAND had a goal with Assists form Sam GAGNER and Scott HARTNELL.

Cam Atkinson had the other goal in the game with assists form Brandon Dubinsky and Seth Jones.

However not all was lost for the New Jersey Devils. Their goalie Keith Kinkaid had 24 saves and allowed only one goal.

New Jersey did have some looks in the game. Devils head coach John Hynes said afterwards " We did everything right except score. We have been injury plagued all season and it's starting to catch up with us. We are looking to next season and we hope we can contend.

Right now the Devils are dead last in the Metropolitan Division. The Injuries have hurt the Devils and they are struggling.

Despite the win for the Jackets Head Coach John TORTORELLA was not satisfied at all with the win. TORTORELLA told reporters afterwards " we didn't shoot the puck well and we didn't pass it very well either. We can't depend on Sergei {BOBROVSKY] all the time. We have got to start shooting the puck better because it's not going to get any easier at all." The Blue Jackets face the Sabers next time we see them in action.

Well Folks we have a 3 team race in the Metropolitan Division.

Washington Capitals 90 points

Columbus Blue Jackets 85 points

Pittsburgh Penguins 85 points

Here's my take, The Blue Jackets have a Legitimate chance of catching the Washington Capitals for the Division lead we still have about a month to go in the season. Let's say it now the Blue Jackets are in the Playoffs no matter what. They are already selling playoff packages at Nationwide Arena in Columbus {Ohio} And I think the Jackets will get out of the first round this time. And I'm going say it now for all of you Nay Sayers that said Columbus will have to suffer through another losing season, SHUT UP AND SHOW THE BLUE JACKETS SOME RESPECT. I know that the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals are at the moment. But I will say this now don't be surprised if the Blue Jackets see either the Penguins or Capitals in the Playoffs. And it's a small possibility that the Blue Jackets could see them both in the playoffs. So keep that in mind if everything falls into place.
