Creighton Beats Xavier in Big East Thriller.

Hello Everyone. The Creighton Blue Jays will face the Villanova Wildcats for the Big East Championship on Saturday. This comes as a result of a 75-72 victory over the Xavier on Friday Night. This game was decided on a 3-ball by Marcus Foster and it was a beauty. I have the highlights of the game and Creighton will face Villanova after they beat Seton Hall earlier in the day.

Creighton won this game despite no Maurice Watson Jr.

Justin Patton had 21 points along with Three Rebounds and he was 10-13 from the Field all night.

Marcus Foster, the Hero of the game, He had 21 points along with two rebounds and six assists. He was also 3-4 form the Free Throw Line.

Cole Huff he had 11 points along with two rebounds and one assist. He was also 3-5 form 3 point land.

KHYRI Thomas, He had 10 points along with 4 rebounds and 8 assists.

Xavier gave a outstanding effort in a loss.

JP MACURA, he had 22 points along with three rebounds and three assists in a losing effort.

Trevon BLUIETT, he had 18 points along with four rebounds and two assists.

Quentin GOODIN, He had 11 points along with four rebounds and four assists in Xavier's Loss.

Creighton Coach Greg McDermott talked to reporters after the game. McDermott said " I was never so proud of our team at the way we fought back through what we have been through. We lost our star player and we struggled in the middle of the season and we're going to play for the Big East title and possibly spoil the Party for Villanova. But for tonight, Let's be thankful for what Marcus Foster did tonight by hitting the three.

Xavier Coach Chris Mack was proud of how his team played despite the loss. Mack Said " We just got beat. When Creighton started hitting three's we didn't give up nor did we hang our heads. They fought back but they were the better team. Now we will wait and see where we go from here. We are a Lock for the NCAA tournament and we will see who we play and will take it one game at a time.

Well folks this is it for the Big East Championship, Creighton vs Villanova.

Here's my take on Villanova, They are fighting to get a Number 1 seed for the NCAA tournament. They have beaten Creighton in both Matchups this season and they are the Favorites among all of the Big Basketball Experts. They have the team to win the Big East and they could repeat as National Champions. Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright said after Villanova's Victory " We are the team to beat Right Now. And if we win the Big East we will clinch a Number 1 seed in the Tournament. Creighton has a good Basketball team and they will give us a run for our money all night and they will challenge us like we have never been before. I have respect for those guys and they are great Basketball Team." Well we will see how Villanova responds to the Creighton 3 barrage on Saturday Night.

Here's My take on Creighton, The Blue Jays have had to fight through adversity all season. It all started with Maurice Watson Jr getting injured in late January and the Blue Jays have fought back form that to be in the position they are in right now. Everybody form the team has stepped up in a Big Way. Marcus Foster I the first to come to mind. When he hit that three with just seconds to go I was thinking that Maybe Creighton was for real again. But I will say this, The Blue Jays are going to be in for the fight of their Big East life on Saturday because they are not only facing the top seed in the Conference, they are also facing a team that according to many people will repeat as National Champions. Villanova is playing for the Big East Title and for a possible Number 1 seed for the NCAA tournament. Creighton is playing for the Big East title and possibly a higher seed.

So in Closing I will say this, May the Best Team win.
