Craig Sager Passes away at the age of 65.

Hi everybody. I have some sad news to pass along to you. And that is longtime sideline reporter Craig Sager has passed lost his battle with Leukemia. Sager Spent 3 decades at Turner Sports as a reporter. Turner Sports President David Levy said in a statement " We regret to Announce that Craig Sager is dead at the age of 65. He lost his battle with Leukemia which he ahs battle since 2014. He gave it a good fight and May he rest in peace. There will be no other Craig Sager." He will be missed by all of us. Sager was know for his colorful outfits he used to wear to all NBA games he Worked. He got his start as a reporter when he did a radio interview in 1974 after Hank Aaron hit his 715th Home Run. Sager did it all form the NBA to College Football he also did the NFL and Major League Baseball. Sager was doing great then in 2014 he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He missed the 2014-15 NBA season. He went thru 3 bone Marrow treatments the most ever. Sager received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at the ESPY'S this past summer. The Passing Of Craig Sager has hit everybody Hard.

ESPN president John Skipper released this statement. " we have lost a dear friend and colleague in the sports world. there will be no other man like him. I was happy to call him my friend." Stephen A. Smith said in a statement, " There will be no other man like him he was a legend on the sideline and his suits were something to look at and he was a dear friend of mine and he will be missed by all of us."

NBA commissioner Adam Silver released the following statement. " The NBA is sad to announce the passing of Craig Sager form Leukemia. The NBA will observe a moment of silence tonight in memory of Mr. Sager. As far as I go I have lost a dear Friend and Colleague and there will be nobody else who can measure up to Craig. Craig I will see you in heaven one day. And Craig thank you for the memories and I will miss you my friend." Well with all of the respect that Craig Sager got from the sports world.

Before I go today. I am not going to give you my take. Instead I am going to say a few things about this wonderful man who we have lost. Craig Sager was the best sideline reporter we have ever had and his presence will be missed by everybody. Sager was the best in the Business no mater what the sport was. After 40 years in sports Sager is gone. He was a great man and a true friend to anybody he came in contact with. In closing I want to say this To his wife Stacy and his 5 children you lost a great husband and father. He was a wonderful man and friend and colleague. He fought a good fight and for that I have a special place for Craig Sager. It is my honor to induct Craig Sager into my WALL OF HONOR For his perseverance during his battle with this illness that he had to go through. In closing I just want to say to Craig Sager, thank you for the memories and thank you for your service to the sports world. And thank you for the colorful outfits you wore over the years. There will be nobody like him and he was a legend. Craig GOD SPEED AND THANK YOU.
