Blue Jackets continue winning streak.
What's up everybody. I know the Columbus Blue Jackets. They are the Hottest Team in the NHL right now. They have won 10 in a row after a 3-2 victory in a shootout on Tuesday Night. Cam Atkinson had 2 goals. Sam GAGNER had the winning goal in a shootout. And Curtis MCEHINNELY had 44 saves in the Victory last night. There was also a fight between Josh Anderson and Andy ANDREOFF. Blue Jackets Head Coach John TORTELLA gave the credit to Curtis MCEHINNLEY. TORTELLA said after the game " MCEHINNLEY was the reason we won the game. He stop 44-of-46 shots and he's the reason why we won. MCHEINNLEY also said afterwards " I did what I had to do to help the team win we have won 10 in a row we are in contention right now for the division lead and if we do what we need to do we can take the lead in the Metropolitan Division." The Blue Jackets are now 21-5-4 on the season and they are only 1 point out of the lead in the Metropolitan Division. The Pittsburgh Penguins come to town on Thursday to face the Blue Jackets in what many call a high stakes showdown.
As for the Los Angeles Kings they are struggling. They are on their 5th game of a 9 Game Road Trip. Jeff Carter did have 2 goals in the game on Tuesday Night. But they came up short. Jeff Carter said after the game " We didn't play up to our potential and we had nothing going our way. We didn't play well at all our goalie couldn't stop any shots down the stretch and the Blue Jackets are Red Hot Right now." The Kings are struggling right now. They are only 16-13-3 right now and The Travel to Nashville on Thursday night to Face the Predators. The Kings need to get it together now or hey are going to be a afterthought going through the season.
Well folks we are going to have a game on Thursday night at Nationwide Arena. Here's my take, This game in my opinion should be labeled the Battle at Nationwide. The Penguins are atop of the Metropolitan division and the Blue Jackets want to take it away form them. So the question is can they do it. I say yes because they have the team to do it. But the Penguins are not a team to be taken lightly at all. They have Sidney Crosby and the have EVENGI Malkin. They are a team that can run away with the division. But we have a long way to go. And the Blue Jackets are right there. So I am going to say this now the NHL Metropolitan Division is the Division to watch because just about any of the 3 teams can take it. The New York Rangers they did get blown up against Pittsburgh 7-2 on Tuesday night. The Blue Jackets did beat LA last night in a shootout. So in my opinion the Blue Jackets will be there at the end of the season If they stay healthy. So look out for the Blue Jackets because they are for real.
