Indians go up 3-0 over the Blue Jays.
Hi everybody. The Cleveland Indians are 1 win away from the World Series after a 4-2 win last night over the Toronto Blue Jays. Folks I am going to say it now it was the Bullpen that did the Job last night. Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer didn't even last an inning he left the game because of an injury to his right pinky finger. Bauer hurt his finger working on his drone the day before he was supposed to start game 2 on Saturday night. But he was pushed to Monday hoping that It would not be a problem but it became a problem he had to leave the game. The Hero's of the night were Dan OTERO, Jeff MANSHIP, Zach MCALLISTER, Bryan Shaw, Cody Allen and it was Andrew Miller that got the save. The Bullpen pitched 8 1/3 innings of fantastic baseball. They do have the best Bullpen by the way with a 1.60 ERA. The Indians did have some Offense last night thanks to a couple of home runs thanks to Mike NAPOLI and Jason KIPINS.
Indians manger Terry FRANCONA addressed the media after the game last night. FRANCONA said after the game, " We had the medical staff ready for any issues with Bauer's finger after it started to Bleed. It was hard for me to take him out but I had no choice I had to do what was right for him. And I will admit I was worried, But my sprits were lifted after what our Bullpen did tonight and that's how we won the game." Well I will say this Terry FRANCONA is one of the smartest managers in Major League Baseball today. Here's my take on Terry FRANCONA He had to empty the Bullpen to get the job done Monday night but he did and In a big way. And 3 of his players are eligible to pitch today as well because FRANCONA didn't leave his Bullpen guys in there to long because he needs all of players available today in a possible deciding game today. So Terry FRANCONA my hats off to you Sir you are one of the smartest managers in Baseball today.
Now in closing I want to address the Blue Jays offense and I am going to say one thing right now it's nowhere to be found. If you think the Jays are going to win 4 straight over the Indians I hate to say it but it ain't going to happen and here's why and Blue Jays fans you better pay attention to this. The 4 biggest bats in the Blue Jays Lineup have been nothing but STONE COLD!!!!. Jose Bautista he was 1-for-3 last night with a walk and a strikeout, he's only batting .111 for the series so far. Troy TULOWIZKI he was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, He's only batting .091 for the series. Russell Martin, he was 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts, He's only batting .111 for the series. Edwin ENCARNCION he's the hottest bat right now, he was 0-for-4 last night and he's only batting .182 for the series. So there you have it the hottest bats for the Blue Jays right now. And also there's one other thing you better think about the Blue Jays are 1-for-11 with Runners in scoring position and the Blue Jays have left 19 men on base in the first 3 games of the series. So I will say this in closing don't be surprised if this series is going to be over quickly. I don't know if it's going to be a sweep or night. But the Blue Jays are not going to win 4 straight over the Indians because they are swinging at some very bad pitches and it's becoming a nightmare. Because the Blue Jays were hot in the ALDS in their 3 game sweep of the Rangers and I thought this was going to go the Distance. But stupid mistakes are being made on offense and the Blue Jays are just not hitting. So in my opinion the Indians are clinching the pennant either today or tomorrow.
