No.13 Indiana upsets No.3 North Carolina

Hi everybody. In the midst of all the Football Hype. I have decided to go in another Direction Today. I have some College Basketball news from last night. And that is No.13 Indiana upset No.3 North Carolina 76-67. OG ANOUBY had 16 points as he was the hero on Wednesday Night. James Blackmon had 14 points and Robert Johnson had 11 points in Indiana's upset win over North Carolina.

OG ANUNOBY had to be helped to the Locker room after the game with a Bad ankle. But he was the Hero as he shutdown North Carolina's Big Bad Boys Kennedy Meeks and Justin Jackson. Look at these stats form last night's game. ANUNOBY, Blackmon and Johnson Combined for 41 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists in the game. North Carolina had a Bad Night Justin Jackson had 21 points, however Kennedy Meeks was shutdown to only 10 points and it was North Carolina's lowest point Total this season so far. Meeks couldn't do anything right on Wednesday Night in their loss.

Now I didn't forget about OG ANUNOBY being helped to the Locker room after the game. Indiana Coach Tom CREAN said after the game " He's getting evaluated in there. He couldn't have gone back out there, but it was to high." Coach CREAN also did say this about ANUNOBY. " His spirit is good, so we'll see how that turns out. But I feel good about his return in the very near future." This was a great win for the team, Coach CREAN said afterwards. This Comes after losing last week and the team came back in a big way.

It was a VERY BAD NIGHT for UNC coach Roy Williams. Here's my take, North Carolina was not ready to play last night and it showed. Roy Williams said after the loss " We were not ready for the atmosphere and the road crowd in Bloomington. We had a very bad night shooting and we had early foul trouble that really hurt us last night." Here's a couple of cases in point about North Carolina's bad play last night. They let Indiana jump to a early 17-7 lead. At one point they trailed 28-11. Later in the game. They got as close to 61-57 with 4:52 to play in the game. But that was as close as North Carolina got to all night. After trailing for a grand total of 16 seconds in the 4 games they played in Hawaii they got their clocks cleaned in Bloomington on Wednesday night. The other thing that everybody might want to think about is the curse of the No.3. The first 4 weeks of the season have seen 3-of-the-4 teams in the country who have been ranked No.3 have gone down to defeat. Kansas on opening night they lost to Indiana. Indiana themselves have been bitten by the No.3 Bug. And Now North Carolina. So the season is young but we start conference play and everything counts Big time. That's something you might want to think about as we get into the heart of the College Basketball schedule. Because now it's going to be GO BIG!!! OR GO HOME!!!!.
